Privacy notice
What we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we only use what you send us to reply to you, and our website analytics count visits without cookies.
Who we are
twillr Ltd, based in Brinkworth, Wiltshire, UK, is the data controller for the personal information described here. Jude Peters is the person to contact about it: jude@twillr.co.uk.
When you email us
If you email us, including through the “Book a call” buttons, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us, such as your company, its size and how it runs today.
- Why: to reply, arrange a call, understand whether we can help, and prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
- Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- How long: if we don’t go on to work together, we delete enquiry emails within 2 years of our last contact. If you become a client, we keep records for the engagement and then for up to 6 years, as required for tax and legal purposes.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and where they came from, so we can improve the site. It does not use cookies or store anything on your device.
- What is recorded: the page visited, the referring site, approximate location (country, region and city), browser, operating system, device type, and the time of the visit. We also count clicks on our email links.
- How visits are counted: Vercel works out unique visitors from a hash of the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours. We cannot identify you or follow you across days or other websites, and we only see aggregated statistics.
- Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. Analytics used only to improve our own site is permitted without consent under UK law, provided we tell you about it and you can object.
Analytics is on.
If you turn analytics off, we save a single setting in your browser’s storage to remember your choice. We also respect the Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages to you and to keep the site secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies. Our fonts and code are served from our own site, so no outside services are contacted when a page loads, other than our host, Vercel.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising. We use these providers, who process it on our behalf under contract:
- Google (Google Workspace): our email.
- Vercel: website hosting and analytics.
Your enquiry may also be shared with Dale Peters, twillr’s co-founder, so we can respond. We will share information with others only if the law requires it.
International transfers
Google and Vercel may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- restrict how we use it, or object to our using it
- send it to you or another organisation in a portable format
Email jude@twillr.co.uk and we will reply within one month. We don’t make automated decisions about you.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We’ll update this notice if how we use information changes, and show the date of the latest version at the top.
